Tyler Marshall

Tyler Marshall (Washington). Tyler is an independent journalist and writer. From 1979 to 2006, he worked for the Los Angeles Times, mainly as a foreign correspondent covering events in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He also served as the paper’s diplomatic correspondent in Washington, where he wrote about foreign affairs from the State Department, Congress and the White House. His journalism awards include a Pulitzer Prize in 2004 for a report on the impact of Wal-Mart as a global economic force and a George Polk Award in 2003 for "The Wal-Mart Effect."
