Sarah Smith (New York). Sarah is managing editor of The New York Times Magazine. Previously she was head of research for the magazine. From 1994 to 2001, she worked as a fact checker for the New Yorker magazine and as a freelancer. She is the author of The Fact Checker’s Bible, published in 2004.
