Samantha Henig (New York) is an associate editor at Newsweek.com. She returned to Newsweek in January 2010 after a year as associate editor at DoubleX, a web magazine published by Slate. Prior to that, she was a reporter for Newsweek’s Periscope section. In addition to Newsweek, Slate and DoubleX, she has written for The Boston Globe, Columbia Journalism Review, The Boston Phoenix and The Chronicle of Higher Education. Her multimedia work for Slate includes podcasts of the “Explainer” column and a series of videos under the title “Vice Capades.”
