Nilkanth (Neel) Patel
The New Yorker
Although Neel Patel graduated from Columbia University in 2011 with a degree in biomedical engineering, his interests led him to pursue a career in journalism. Focusing on the intersection of technology and media, he started as an intern in The New Yorker’s web department in January 2011 and five months later became an editorial production associate, designing pages for the print publication and working on the magazine’s iPad and Android editions.
