Myron Kandel

Myron Kandel (New York). Myron was one of the founders of CNN and served as its financial editor and economic commentator for 25 years. In 2000, he was named one of the 10 most influential financial journalists of the 20th century. He previously served as the financial editor of three newspapers: the Washington Star, the New York Herald Tribune and the New York Post. He was a foreign correspondent for the Herald Tribune, a reporter for The New York Times and the editor of the New York Law Journal. Following his retirement from CNN, he served for three years as the founder and president of the New Hampshire-based Initiative for Corporate Responsibility and Investor Protection. He currently is an economic commentator for PBS.
