Mark Bowden

Mark Bowden (Philadelphia). Mark is a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, a national correspondent for The Atlantic and a columnist for The Philadelphia Inquirer.  He is the author of nine books, including the best sellers The Best Game Ever, published in 2008, Guests of the Ayatollah, 2006, Killing Pablo, 2001, and Black Hawk Down, 1999. His books have won numerous awards.  He collaborated on the screenplay for Ridley Scott’s film adaptation of Black Hawk Down and on the script for the 2009 movie based on Killing Pablo.  He was a staff writer at The Inquirer from 1979 to 2003.
