Kathy Kiely (Washington). Kathy covers Congress and national politics as a Washington correspondent for USA Today. She has reported on every presidential campaign since 1980. Before joining the paper in 1998, she was a White House correspondent for the New York Daily News and Washington bureau chief for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and the Houston Post. Previously, she was a Washington correspondent and general assignment reporter for the Pittsburgh Press.
