Karen is a science and technology journalist and author. A contributor to Bloomberg.com and Bloomberg Businessweek, she covers entrepreneurs and innovators.
Her recent articles have also appeared in Science Magazine, U.S. News and World Report and Scientific American and on SciAm.com. She also blogs about neuroscience for the Foundation for Psychocultural Research. She has produced and directed two documentaries for public television: ”Minerva’s Machine: Women and Computing” (aired in 1995 and 1996), and “Net.LEARNING,” about the pros and cons of online education (aired in 1998).
She has written four books, three about physics for fourth graders published in 2006 and one about robots, which she co-authored with Isaac Asimov –– Robots: Machines in Man’s Image, published in 1985.
