Ilyse Veron

Ilyse Veron (Washington). Ilyse is an independent writer, editor and producer. From 1995 to 2002 she was a national news reporter for PBS’ "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer," covering the changing media business, politics, education and the budget. Her coverage of the Justice Department’s case against Microsoft won an Emmy Award in 1998. From 2002 to 2005 she served as a special projects producer and PBS station liaison for MacNeil/Lehrer Productions, and in 2006 she managed a content partnership with Yahoo! News anchored by Judy Woodruff. Prior to the NewsHour, Ilyse served as principal researcher on The System, a book by David Broder and Haynes Johson about the health reform battle. She has also worked for the Brookings Institution, Congressional Quarterly and the Center for Media and Public Affairs.
