Geraldine Baum (New York). Geraldine is the New York bureau chief of the Los Angeles Times. In her 18 years as a reporter with the paper, she has been posted in Washington, New York and Paris, where she served as a correspondent and bureau chief. She has covered major national and international news events and created "New York, NY," a 900-word weekly column about the city. After starting her journalism career at The Miami Herald, Baum spent seven years at Newsday. She was part of a team that won a Pulitzer in 1984.
