Fernanda Santos

Fernanda Santos (New York).  Fernanda is a reporter who covers Queens, the nation’s most diverse county, for The New York Times.  Since joining the paper in 2005, she has written about child welfare, immigration, politics and crime.  Previously, she spent three years at the Daily News of New York.  She has also worked at The Eagle-Tribune in Lawrence, Mass., the Union-News and Sunday Republican in Springfield, Mass., and at a newspaper in Brazil, where she was born.  She is co-author of Latinos in the United States, a reference guide published by the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
