Emily Bazar (Washington). Emily is a reporter for USA Today, where she has worked since 2005. She reports on immigration and has also covered national politics, the devastating coal mining accidents of 2006, the growing population of newly homeless people and tobacco policy. In addition to reporting and writing, she shoots both still and video, and contributes to online blogs. Previously, she spent nine years at The Sacramento Bee as a senior staff writer. She speaks French and is studying Farsi and Spanish.
