David Rohde

David Rohde (New York). David is a columnist at Reuters where he writes about foreign affairs and globalization. He has covered conflicts in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Israel and Palestine, Kosovo and Bosnia, twice winning the Pulitzer Prize — as a reporter for the Christian Science Monitor for stories exposing the massacre of Bosnian Muslims by Bosnian Serb troops (1996) and as part of a New York Times team covering Afghanistan and Pakistan (2008). He is the author of Endgame: The Betrayal and Fall of Srebrenica, Europe’s Worst Massacre Since World War II (1997) and the co-author, with his wife, Kristen Mulvihill, of A Rope and A Prayer: A Kidnapping from Two Sides (2010). From 1996 to 2011, he was an investigative reporter at The New York Times and served as co-chief of the newspaper’s South Asia bureau in New Delhi from 2002 to 2005.
