David Gonzalez (New York). David is a reporter on the Metropolitan desk of The New York Times and has written the bi-weekly “Citywide” feature since 2004. In his 18 years on the Times’ staff he has also served as Caribbean and Central America bureau chief, author of the “About New York” column and Bronx bureau chief. Before joining the Times he was a correspondent for Newsweek.
