Cathy Singer (Chicago). Cathy has been a producer for “Dateline” since joining NBC News in 1994. She began her career in journalism as a reporter at the Illinois Times, and spent much of her career working in both print and television. She has worked as a producer for “60 Minutes,” and written pieces for the New York Times, Cosmopolitan, as well as the Milwaukee Journal. She is the recipient of several awards, including the Gracie Allen Award from the Foundation of American Women in Radio and Television, and a news Emmy in 2003.
