Alan Fram (Washington). Alan covers the lobbying community for the Associated Press. He has worked in the AP’s Washington bureau since 1983, primarily reporting on the budget and Congress. Prior to that, he worked at the AP’s Newark, N.J., bureau, for the Albany Times-Union (N.Y.) and for the Middletown (N.Y.) Times Herald-Record.
